What will you do?
As a Sr. Principal Mechanical Systems Design Engineer, you will:
- Engage in conceptualizing system designs.
- Develop functional and easily testable hydro-mechanical systems.
- Choose and design components to ensure safe and reliable operation of new equipment.
- Interpret project and product requirements, crafting product-specific process & instrumentation diagrams.
- Contribute to various systems engineering domains: cost minimization, design analysis, supplier collaboration, factory tests, adopting new technologies, and troubleshooting product quality.
- Assist on-site personnel during equipment installation and commissioning.
What are the requirements?
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years experience in designing mechanical systems, involving (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, process flow calculations, etc.).
- Knowledge of Turbomachinery Subsystems (theory & design, lube oil system, fuel system, start system, and/or seal systems) preferred.
- Experience hydro-mechanical systems applications, design, and operations preferred.
- Understanding of testing and manufacturing processes preferred.
- Familiarity with P&ID Creation tools (similar to Promis-E [V8i]) and Simulation/Modeling tools (Creo/Matlab) preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Excellent communication skills.
