What is the position?

This is a Sr. Piping Designer position focusing on supporting the design on various pipeline and facility components.

What will you do?

As a Sr. Piping Designer, you will:

• Oversee technical support, designs, and drawings for engineering projects.
• Under minimal supervision create designs for pipeline and related facilities based on scope requirements provided by internal business partners.
• Prepare working plans and detail drawings and maps according to standards and specifications.
• Communicate with internal and external business partners to determine needs and satisfaction.
• Gather information from identified sources.
• Monitor and report on progress, third party performance, and quality.
• Estimate the time required to complete assigned work products.
• Review and verify that plans, designs, drawings, and maps conform to applicable codes, standards, specifications and the requirements of internal business partners, periodically called upon to make unreviewed decisions.
• Coordinate multiple design and drafting projects to ensure standards for timeliness and quality are met.
• Use CADD programs to perform drafting/design.
• Utilize knowledge of principles and methods involved in the transportation of natural gas.

What are the requirements?

• 7 years minimum working in an oil & gas environment
• Ability to physically walk down company facilities
• Create P&ID plot plans, use AutoCAD and CadWorx
• Background of mechanical and/or I&E drafting skills, 3D piping experience
