Job Description

What is the position?
The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible to investigate and research the maintenance, functionality, and designs of equipment, mechanical products, systems, and processes in gas plant and pipeline projects.

What will you do?
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will:
  • Supervise and evaluate range of projects.
  • Ensure that project deliverables are accurate, on-time, and are completed with safety as a priority and adherence to company policies and PLC principles.
  • Develop facility solutions and operational recommendations that maximize returns and efficiency and reduce risks.
  • Meet training requirements and build improvement plans.
  • Complete site visits and walk down facilities, plan work, and collaborate with construction and operations teams.
  • Collaborate with vendors, technical resources, operations, inspectors, contractors, managers, and other stakeholders in development and completion of projects.
  • Provide stakeholders with reports and status updates, securing buy-in and support.
  • Maintain internal and external customer satisfaction, identifying customer needs and responding accordingly.
  • Oversee hydrostatic test planning and reporting.
  • Develop Bill of Materials, facilitate design reviews and Hazard Screening reviews, assist in PHAs, and complete other tasks as required.

What are the requirements?
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related
  • 8+ years of facility & pipeline experience (Oil & Gas industry-specific)
  • Experience in construction management, mechanical, chemical, EE, or I&E engineering
  • MS Office Suite skills
  • Knowledge of industry codes such as DOT CRF 192, B31.3&8, etc.
  • Experience working on engineering for gas plants, pipelines, compressor stations, pig traps, reduce port valve, changes/modifications, brown/green field meter stations, PSV studies, automation projects, DOT pipeline replacements and hydrotests, abandonment projects, or controls projects
  • Experience with piping material descriptions and application
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
