Job Description

What is the position?
The Senior Operational Accountant will be responsible for contract assessment, reporting activities, and supporting the operational accounting group.


What will you do?
As a Senior Operational Accountant, you will:

  • Prepare reports, perform reconciliations, and support accounting analytics.
  • Examine contracts for compliance with ASC 606 and contractual pricing.
  • Utilize accounting knowledge to support contract setup and interpretation.
  • Be familiar with pricing strategies and contractual requirements outlined in terms.
  • Conduct periodic SOX controls.
  • Gather documentation to support audits.
  • Evaluate natural gas and NGL marketing contracts and new producer settlements.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports.
  • Carry out other responsibilities as needed.


What are the requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA preferred
  • 5+ years accounting experience
  • Familiar with ASC 606 and ASC 842
  • Experience with oil and gas accounting preferred
  • ETRM experience preferred
  • Ability to work well both independently and in team settings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
