What is the position?
The Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for overseeing daily credit operations, managing key projects, training new employees, and monitoring credit exposures. This role involves evaluating creditworthiness, handling customer inquiries, reviewing contracts, and ensuring compliance with credit limits. Strong teamwork skills and a keen attention to detail are essential for success.
What are the responsibilities?
As a Senior Credit Analyst, you will:
- Assess the creditworthiness of counterparties and recommend or approve credit limits within authority.
- Manage the issuance and modification of collateral instruments.
- Monitor credit exposures against established limits and ensure compliance.
- Review and approve new and amended counterparty contracts.
- Address inquiries related to internal and external credit exposure.
- Generate reports on credit activities and department performance.
What are the requirements?
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business
- 7+ years of experience in a Finance, Accounting, or Business environment
- 10+ years of oil and gas experience in Finance/Accounting preferred
- Strong analytical skills for financial document review and ratio analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to mentor employees and provide operational feedback
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to safety
- Familiarity with NAESB, ISDA, Credit Support Annex, and ICE preferred
- Ability to work overtime as needed, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays
