Senior Accounting Analyst is responsible for technical and strategic accounting within a dynamic, innovation-driven energy environment. You’ll lead key initiatives involving financial reporting, process improvement, and complex accounting for diverse projects ranging from upstream assets to solar and power generation ventures.
What are the responsibilities?
As a Senior Accounting Analyst, you will:
- Manage month-end processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Lead and contribute to audits, financial reporting, and technical accounting research
- Support accounting operations across upstream, solar, and power generation initiatives
- Deliver insight through presentations and stakeholder reporting tied to project performance
- Guide implementation of new accounting standards and support M&A accounting efforts
- Use automation and analytics tools to enhance reporting efficiency
What are the requirements?
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 6+ years of accounting experience in the energy sector
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with automation tools like Power BI or Alteryx preferred
- CPA or public accounting background is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate across functions
- Experience with upstream accounting is highly desirable
