Job Description
What is the job?
The Project Engineer is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve the efficiencies/reliability of equipment and processes. The position requires knowledge of and technical skill in mechanical engineering.
What do you need to be able to do?
- Complete technical review of Request for Quote (RFQ).
- Reviews and communicates customer specifications into fabrication drawings, specifications, and test documents.
- Submit clarifications to customers from Project Specialist.
- Completes engineering calculations as required.
- Review and submit the RFQ Bill of Materials and Specifications to the Projects team.
- Review and submit RFQ Labor sheets to projects.
- Reviews vendor offerings to ensure incoming products and services meet specifications.
- Completes the technical portion of the quote which includes design conditions, material details, technical notes, technical exceptions, and option recommendations.
- Review drawings and answer any questions that arise.
- Prepare or modify drawing request packages for drafting which will include specifications and calculations.
- Provides alternate quotes for increased quality.
- Submits completed technical quote information to the Director of Projects.
