Job Description

What is the position?
The Pipeline Project Manager will oversee capital maintenance initiatives critical to ensuring the reliability and regulatory compliance of natural gas transmission systems. This role will focus on planning and executing projects related to pipeline integrity, such as In-Line Inspection (ILI) remediation and cathodic protection upgrades, while coordinating across internal teams and external stakeholders.

What are the responsibilities?
As a Pipeline Project Manager, you will:
  • Lead and manage projects from scope development through execution and closeout
  • Create detailed plans covering land acquisition, permitting, engineering, procurement, and construction
  • Oversee project budgeting and scheduling while aligning with internal standards and the System Integrity Plan
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to resolve technical and operational issues
  • Ensure timely communication of project updates and challenges across all stakeholders

What are the requirements?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Civil preferred); advanced degree, PE license, or PMP a plus
  • 8+ years in the energy sector with 4+ years focused on transmission integrity
  • Proven experience in managing large-diameter pipeline projects
  • Strong technical knowledge in integrity remediation, cathodic protection, and gas transmission operations
  • Proficiency with tools like MS Project, Visio, and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional leadership, time management, and problem-solving abilities
