What are the responsibilities?
As a Material Control Specialist, you will:
- Coordinate purchasing and delivery timelines to ensure materials arrive when needed for project execution
- Collect and evaluate cost estimates and delivery schedules during early project stages
- Create and process material and equipment requests while reviewing vendor proposals for alignment with project needs
- Act as a communication bridge between engineering teams, procurement, project management, and construction sites
- Track procurement progress, assist with expediting orders, and oversee inspection activities
- Address and resolve issues related to material delays or discrepancies
- Maintain and manage documentation such as purchase orders, requisitions, and receiving reports
- Oversee vendor drawings and technical documents to ensure timely approvals and compliance requirements are met
What are the requirements?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
- 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably within the oil and gas sector
- Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate across teams
