What are the responsibilities?
As an Electrical Engineer, you will:
- Lead the development and enhancement of electrical systems and power distribution networks for essential infrastructure
- Integrate automation, monitoring technologies, and energy storage solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Strengthen system safety through arc flash mitigation, fault detection, and reliability improvements
- Provide technical guidance on electrical layouts, schematics, and system upgrades
- Manage engineering projects from initial planning through final delivery, ensuring alignment with timelines and objectives
- Maintain compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and industry regulations
- Partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality engineering solutions
What are the requirements?
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or Engineering Technology with P.E. license) from an ABET-accredited institution
- 4+ years experience in Oil & Gas industry, data centers, or related
- Strong understanding of power distribution systems and electrical design standards (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE, etc.)
- Experience reviewing arc flash studies and implementing corrective actions
- Knowledge of power system analysis tools such as ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with high-voltage equipment, transformers, generators, and switchgear
- Effective organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard computer applications
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Preferred: Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure
- Preferred: Experience with PLCs, HMI systems, and instrumentation design
- Preferred: Project management and FEED/EPC project experience
- Preferred: Commissioning, testing, and startup support experience
