Job Description

What is the position?

The Drafter position will provide support to engineering teams on various electrical & instrumentation design projects.


What will you do?

As a Drafter, you will:

  • Deliver timely and accurate piping, electrical, civil, instrument, mechanical, and structural drawings according to design specifications, making updates as needed.
  • Assist teams with drawings such as Facility Plot Plans, PFDs, P&IDs,  Electrical One Line Diagrams, Electrical Hazardous Area Classification Plans, Panel Layouts, Electrical Schematics, Cause & Effect Matrixes, Emergency Operating Procedure Drawings, Instrument Details, etc.
  • Take on multiple drafting and design projects at once, coordinating efficiently to ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Identify stakeholder needs and requirements through continuous communication efforts.
  • Intake red lines from stakeholders and update drawings accordingly.
  • Record third-party performance. 


What are the requirements?

  • 1-2 years of experience with AutoCAD preferred
  • Associate's Degree in Drafting/Design
  • Oil & Gas industry experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of industry codes, practices, and standards such as ACCI, AISC, ANSI, API, ASCE, ASME, AWS, DOT, IBC, ISA, NACE, NEC, NFPA, UBC, etc.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication
  • Highly motivated and Detail-oriented
  • Effective time management and priority-setting skills
