What are the responsibilities?
As a Controller, you will:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-impact accounting team, fostering accountability and professional development
- Collaborate with executive leadership to provide financial analysis and insights
- Oversee preparation and review of financial reporting, ensuring alignment with GAAP standards
- Direct the month-end and year-end close cycles, maintaining accuracy and meeting established timelines
- Oversee core accounting operations such as payroll, billing, payables, receivables, and general ledger activity
- Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, managing audit readiness and coordinating all related activities
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations, including timely filings and reporting
- Assess and strengthen internal controls while identifying opportunities to streamline workflows
What are the requirements?
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years accounting experience
- Experience supervising a team
- Solid understanding of GAAP principles and standard financial reporting practices
- Software as a Service environment experience
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms
- Financial analysis skills
- CPA a plus
