The Automation Engineer will be focused on automation and control systems within industrial projects. The position involves leading design, programming, commissioning, and support efforts across complex instrumentation and control environments.
What are the responsibilities?
As an Automation Engineer, you will:
- Deliver Tier IV technical support for control and automation systems.
- Review and redline design documents including P&IDs and E&I schematics.
- Oversee all aspects of instrumentation and control design across multiple projects.
- Develop PLC logic for a wide range of systems, including compressors, generators, SCADA packs, and safety systems.
- Design HMI screens and alarm configurations using Wonderware.
- Conduct FAT testing on control buildings, panels, and MCCs.
- Travel for system commissioning, ensuring full integration and testing of all control components.
What are the requirements?
- 5+ years of engineering experience (8–10 years preferred)
- Background in oil and gas industry projects is required
- Extensive hands-on experience with PLC programming and HMI development
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation selection, control loops, and process safety systems
- Ability to conduct FAT and commission full control systems
