As an Accounting Analyst, you will play a key role in financial reporting, analysis, and process optimization. You will support month-end close activities, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and leverage technology to improve efficiency.
What are the responsibilities?
As an Accounting Analyst, you will:
- Perform month-end close tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Prepare financial reports and support internal and external audit processes.
- Assist with regulatory financial reporting and SEC filings.
- Analyze large datasets and identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial operations.
- Participate in projects and provide support to less-experienced colleagues.
What are the requirements?
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the energy industry
- CPA certification is preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with Oracle ERP, Workiva, and Power BI is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
