Job Description
What is the position?
The role of the Accountant is to support the Gathering & Processing revenue group by assisting monthly with closing out assets, while encompassing tasks such as generating monthly invoices, handling financial transactions, ensuring compliance, and analyzing data for decision-making. The Accountant will also prepare financial reports and serve as a liaison for internal and external customers.

The Accountant will also prepare financial reports and serve as a liaison for internal and external customers.
What are the responsibilities?
As an Accountant, you will:
- Assist with closing processes by analyzing allocations & costs.
- Arrange journal entries and periodic financial statements.
- Ensure accuracy in financial data, recognizing and suggesting solutions to any issues.
- Prepares account reconciliations, proposing adjusting entries when necessary.
- Develop schedules and reports such as tax information and filing schedules.
- Provides information to management and internal colleagues.
- Establish and maintain relationships with individuals and/or other departments as needed to resolve accounting issues and questions.
- Prepare various quarterly/ annual reports for FERC, SEC, and lenders.
- Communicates with internal and external customers.
- Carry out ad hoc requests and special projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related degree with strong accounting focus
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Oil & gas industry experience preferred
- Excel & other PC application skills
- Understanding of accounting procedures complying with GAAP, Contracts, and Regulatory standards
- Ability to work with large amounts of detailed data and translate data into meaningful information
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to transfer learning, knowledge & skills across multiple projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
