What is this position?
We are looking for an ACH Payment Solutions Specialist responsible for supporting ACH, Mobile Payment, and Wire Transfer processes in a financial institution.

What will you do?
As an ACH Payment Solutions Specialist you will:

  • Perform many job duties on a rotational basis, including but not limited to: Process Automated Clearing House (ACH) and debit card fraud claims, Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) and return items, setting up periodic payments, reporting charge off accounts, fraud research, member account maintenance, internal support via phone queue and wire transfers in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Professionally exercise extraordinary service & value by providing the highest level of member service when assisting and meeting the needs of all Members in order to leave a positive impact with each encounter.

  • Must be knowledgeable in all job tasks and provide assistance to other Payment Solutions team members when needed.

  • Perform duties in compliance with regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

  • Process Automated Clearing House (ACH), Branch Service Requests, Non-Sufficient Funds items (NSF), set up periodic payments, check processing, stop payments, charge offs, returned item deposits, Apple Pay activation and wire transfers in an orderly, timely, and accurate manner.

  • Process check card disputes by sending chargebacks to the check card processor to recover monies owed to our members by a merchant.

  • Receive and respond to member and branch staff requests to resolve account inquiries and issues to resolve concerns efficiently and to the member's satisfaction.


What are the requirements?

  • Working knowledge of ACH rules, regulations and processes.

  • Strong interpersonal and member service skills, including the ability to maintain composure under pressure while interacting with others by telephone and other communication modalities using active listening skills, developing rapport and responding with empathy.

  • Intermediate experience - Working knowledge in the financial arena with back-office processing including debits and credits.

  • Certifications, Licenses and Registrations; AAP, APRP or NCP Preferred or the ability and willingness to obtain.
