Job Description

What is the job?

The Project Engineer is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve the efficiencies/reliability of equipment and processes. The position requires knowledge of and technical skill in mechanical engineering.

 

What do you need to be able to do?

  • Complete technical review of Request for Quote (RFQ).
  • Reviews and communicates customer specifications into fabrication drawings, specifications, and test documents.
  • Submit clarifications to customers from Project Specialist.
  • Completes engineering calculations as required.
  • Review and submit the RFQ Bill of Materials and Specifications to the Projects team.
  • Review and submit RFQ Labor sheets to projects.
  • Reviews vendor offerings to ensure incoming products and services meet specifications.
  • Completes the technical portion of the quote which includes design conditions, material details, technical notes, technical exceptions, and option recommendations.
  • Review drawings and answer any questions that arise.
  • Prepare or modify drawing request packages for drafting which will include specifications and calculations.
  • Provides alternate quotes for increased quality.
  • Submits completed technical quote information to the Director of Projects.
